Description

What is NEBIMED 5 (Nebivolol)?

NEBIMED 5 is nebivolol, a beta blocker for blood pressure and heart rate. It is the most training-friendly one there is, which is not the same as being free of consequences.

Also sold as Bystolic, Nebilet or nebivolol.

Nebivolol blocks beta-1 receptors in the heart, which lowers both heart rate and the force of each beat, and that brings blood pressure down. What separates it from older beta blockers is that it also promotes nitric oxide release, so blood vessels relax as well. That second mechanism does part of the work, which means less of the effect has to come from slowing your heart.

NEBIMED 5 benefits

  • Lowers both blood pressure and an elevated resting heart rate
  • Highly cardioselective, so fewer of the side effects older beta blockers are known for
  • Also raises nitric oxide, which relaxes vessels independently of the heart rate effect
  • Useful when stimulants or trenbolone have pushed resting heart rate up

NEBIMED 5 dosage

Standard
5mg once daily, one tablet
Lower start
2.5mg, half a tablet, if you are sensitive
Frequency
Once daily, same time each day
Half-life
10 to 12 hours
Stopping
Taper over 1 to 2 weeks, never stop abruptly

One tablet daily. Effects on heart rate appear quickly; the blood pressure effect settles over a couple of weeks.

Never stop a beta blocker abruptly. Doing so can send heart rate and blood pressure sharply above where they started. Taper it down over a week or two instead.

Who is NEBIMED 5 for?

People whose resting heart rate has climbed as well as their blood pressure, which is a common combination on trenbolone or on anything stacked with stimulants.

If blood pressure is the only problem, telmisartan is usually the better first choice, because it lowers pressure without capping your heart rate at all.

Before you take it. This is a real prescription medicine and it has a real effect on how you train. A beta blocker limits how fast your heart can beat, so conditioning work and anything at high intensity will feel harder and your usual numbers will drop. Nebivolol is the mildest of them in that respect, but the effect is still there. Never stop it abruptly, because rebound hypertension and tachycardia are genuine risks; taper over one to two weeks. It should not be used by anyone with asthma without medical advice, since beta blockers can trigger bronchospasm. For anyone competing in a tested sport, beta blockers are prohibited outright in several precision disciplines. Get your blood pressure measured rather than guessing at it. Not for anyone under 18, and not for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to use NEBIMED 5

Swallow one tablet with water at the same time each day, with or without food. If you decide to come off, reduce the dose gradually across one to two weeks rather than stopping outright.

Frequently asked questions

Will a beta blocker hurt my training?

To some degree, yes, and anyone telling you otherwise is glossing over it. Beta blockers cap your maximum heart rate, so conditioning work and high-intensity sets feel harder and your usual output drops.

Nebivolol is the most training-friendly option in the class because part of its effect comes from nitric oxide rather than from slowing the heart. It is less of a penalty, not no penalty.

Why can I not just stop taking it?

Because your body adjusts to the blockade by making more beta receptors. Stop suddenly and all of those are exposed at once, which can push heart rate and blood pressure above where they were before you started.

Taper over one to two weeks. This applies to every beta blocker and it is not a precaution you can skip.

Nebivolol or telmisartan?

Telmisartan first if the problem is blood pressure alone, because it leaves heart rate untouched and does not affect training.

Nebivolol if resting heart rate is elevated too, which is common on trenbolone or alongside stimulants. It is the right tool when both numbers are up.

Is it banned in tested sport?

Beta blockers as a class are prohibited in several precision sports, archery and shooting among them, because steadying the hands is an advantage there. In most strength and endurance sports they are not prohibited.

Check the current list for your own sport rather than relying on any shop to be up to date on it.

Can I take it with stimulants?

It is the combination people most often reach for it to manage, since stimulants push heart rate up. It does work for that.

It is also worth asking whether the answer is to take a second drug to counteract the first. If a fat burner is pushing your heart rate somewhere that needs medicating, reducing the fat burner is the simpler fix.
