VIAMED 20 is sildenafil at a low strength. It is the one people run before training for blood flow and pump, and a starting dose rather than a full one for erectile use.

Also sold as Viagra, sildenafil or Revatio.

Sildenafil is a PDE5 inhibitor. It blocks the enzyme that breaks down the signal telling blood vessel walls to relax, so vessels stay open and blood flow improves. It works on vessels throughout the body rather than in one place, which is why the same molecule is also prescribed for pulmonary blood pressure.

Who is VIAMED 20 for?

People who want the blood flow effect rather than a full erectile dose: better pumps in the gym, and a mild continuous effect from a small daily dose.

For erectile use as needed, this strength means taking three to five tablets at a time. Sildenafil at 100mg is the product for that, and CIAMED 5 is the equivalent low daily approach on tadalafil.

Before you run it. Never take this with nitrates. That means heart medication such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, and it also means poppers, amyl or butyl nitrite. The combination drops blood pressure catastrophically and people have died from it. If you take anything for angina, this compound is not available to you. Headache, facial flushing and a blocked nose are the common side effects and they scale with dose. Sildenafil specifically can produce a blue tint to vision at higher doses, which is harmless and passes. A fatty meal noticeably delays and blunts it, so take it on a relatively empty stomach. What can I not take it with?

Nitrates, absolutely and without exception. Heart medication such as nitroglycerin or isosorbide, and recreational poppers, which are amyl or butyl nitrite. Together with a PDE5 inhibitor they cause a catastrophic drop in blood pressure.

Alpha blockers for the prostate need care too and should be spaced apart. Grapefruit juice raises blood levels. If you take anything for blood pressure, start at the lowest dose and see how you react.

Will it increase my sex drive?

No. This is the most persistent misunderstanding about the whole class. A PDE5 inhibitor improves blood flow so an erection can happen and hold; it does nothing to libido.

If desire is the problem rather than function, this is the wrong product. That is usually a hormonal question, and testosterone, prolactin and estradiol are what to look at.

My erections went on cycle, will this fix it?
