What is RETAMED (Triple Receptor Agonist)?
RETAMED acts on three receptors at once, which is why it produces more weight loss than anything else in this class. It cuts appetite and raises how much you burn at the same time.
RETAMED acts on three receptors rather than one. GLP-1 and GIP both reduce appetite and improve blood sugar handling, which is what the single and dual agonists do. The third, the glucagon receptor, is what sets a triple agonist apart: activating it raises energy expenditure, so you burn more while appetite is already reduced.
RETAMED benefits
- The strongest weight loss of anything in this class
- Raises energy expenditure through the glucagon arm rather than only suppressing appetite
- One subcutaneous injection a week
- Improves blood sugar handling alongside the weight loss
- Not androgenic, so nothing is suppressed and no post-cycle therapy applies
RETAMED dosage
- Starting dose
- 2mg once weekly
- Common range
- 4 to 8mg once weekly
- Titration
- Increase every 4 weeks, not sooner
- Route
- Subcutaneous, once weekly
- Vial contains
- 10mg
- Half-life
- Around 6 days
Start at 2mg and move up in steps of a few weeks. The glucagon arm makes this more potent than a single or dual agonist, so the titration matters more here rather than less.
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water. The reconstitution guide covers the method and the dosage calculator works out the concentration.

Who is RETAMED for?
People who want the strongest option in this class, and who are willing to train and keep protein high through the weight loss so that what comes off is fat.
If this is your first peptide of this kind, SEMAMED is the gentler starting point and easier to titrate. Move to RETAMED once you know how you handle the class.
How to use RETAMED
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and keep the vial refrigerated once mixed. Inject subcutaneously into the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, once a week on the same day, rotating the site.
Frequently asked questions
How is it different from SEMAMED?
SEMAMED acts on one receptor, GLP-1. RETAMED acts on three: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon.
The first two reduce appetite. The glucagon receptor is the difference, because activating it raises energy expenditure. So you are burning more as well as eating less, which is why the weight comes off faster.
Will I lose muscle on it?
Some, and potentially a lot, exactly as with anything in this class. Rapid weight loss takes lean tissue along with fat unless something is done about it.
Resistance training throughout and protein kept high are what decide the outcome. That matters more here than with a gentler product, because the weight comes off faster.
Why does it raise my heart rate?
The glucagon receptor activity. It raises energy expenditure, and a higher metabolic rate comes with a higher heart rate.
That is why it does not sit well alongside stimulants, or on top of a cycle already pushing blood pressure and heart rate up. Measure rather than assume.
What if the nausea is too much?
Drop back to the previous dose and hold there for another few weeks rather than pushing through it. Nausea is dose related and it usually settles once your gut has adapted.
Smaller meals, less fat in them and not eating late all help. Nausea severe enough that you cannot eat protein is working against the point of the protocol.
SEMAMED or RETAMED first?
SEMAMED, for a first run in this class. It is the gentler of the two, easier to titrate and the side effect picture is more predictable.
RETAMED makes sense once you know how you handle a GLP-1 agonist and you want the stronger option.
