What is DECAMED 250 (Nandrolone Decanoate)?

DECAMED 250 is deca, the mass builder that has been in cycles longer than almost anything else on this site.

Nandrolone is a 19-nor compound, which puts it in a different family from testosterone rather than being a variant of it. It builds mass more slowly than testosterone but holds it well, and it has a long reputation for making joints feel better under heavy loading. Who is DECAMED 250 for?

Experienced users adding mass on a testosterone base, and anyone who trains heavy enough that joints are part of the calculation. It is not a first-cycle compound, and not because it is harsh, but because running it means managing suppression and prolactin at the same time.

The ampoule format keeps each dose sealed until use. If you would rather draw from one vial, the Astera Labs 300mg/ml vial is the same compound more concentrated.

Before you run it. Nandrolone suppresses your own testosterone hard, more than the dose suggests, so it is run alongside testosterone rather than on its own and post-cycle therapy is not optional. It is also progestagenic, which means gyno can develop through prolactin rather than estrogen, and an aromatase inhibitor alone will not stop that. Frequently asked questions

Do I have to run testosterone with it?

Yes. Nandrolone suppresses your own production heavily while doing little for the things testosterone handles, libido and erectile function among them. Running it alone is the direct route to what people call deca dick.

The standard approach is testosterone at or above the nandrolone dose, so the ratio favours testosterone rather than the other way around.

Will it affect libido?

It can, and it is common enough to plan around. Nandrolone is progestagenic, and raised prolactin alongside suppressed testosterone is what produces the effect.

Keeping testosterone higher than the nandrolone dose is the first defence. If symptoms appear anyway, prolactin is the marker to check rather than assuming it is estrogen.

Will an aromatase inhibitor stop gyno from nandrolone?

Not on its own. Nandrolone aromatises only weakly, so most of the gyno risk here comes through progesterone and prolactin rather than estrogen. An aromatase inhibitor addresses the estrogen route and does nothing for the other one.

This is the part people get wrong, and it is why nandrolone gyno has a reputation for appearing despite an AI being run.

How long should a deca cycle be?

Twelve to sixteen weeks. The decanoate ester takes four to six weeks to reach working levels, so a short cycle spends most of its length still building.

That length is also why nandrolone is a poor choice if you might need to stop early. It takes weeks to clear once you do.

How long does nandrolone stay detectable?

Far longer than most compounds. Nandrolone metabolites have been detected many months after the last injection, which is why it is a common cause of failed tests long after someone believed they were clear.

If you are tested at any level, this is the compound to think hardest about.
