What is SUSTAMED 250 (Sustanon)?
SUSTAMED 250 is the testosterone blend most people start with and many never stop using, because it does the job of a full testosterone base in one weekly injection.
Also sold as Sustanon, Omnadren or simply Susta.
It is a mixture of four esterified variants of testosterone. The short esters get to work within days, the long decanoate keeps levels up for the rest of the week, and the result is a single compound that covers both ends without a second injection. Read our full Sustanon overview.
SUSTAMED 250 benefits
- Rapid increase in muscle mass from its anabolic action
- Increased protein synthesis and better nitrogen retention
- Faster recovery between training sessions
- Works alone in a first cycle, or as the testosterone base underneath a stack
- Four esters in one shot, so a single weekly injection covers the full week
SUSTAMED 250 dosage
- Beginner
- 300 to 500mg per week
- Intermediate
- 500 to 750mg per week alone, around 500mg when stacked
- Advanced
- 750 to 1000mg per week, run alone rather than stacked
- TRT base
- 100 to 250mg per week
There is no reason to push past the beginner range while other compounds are in the cycle. The higher figures apply when SUSTAMED 250 is doing all the work on its own.
The TRT-level range is a different use entirely: enough testosterone to keep normal biological function running while stronger compounds handle the performance side.

Who is SUSTAMED 250 for?
First-time users, because a testosterone-only cycle is the standard starting point and this covers it with one injection a week. It is equally the default choice for experienced users who need a testosterone base underneath everything else they are running.
Most people do not run it alone. HCG alongside it keeps testicular function going through the cycle, an aromatase inhibitor handles the estrogen conversion, and post-cycle compounds restart your own production afterwards.
How to use SUSTAMED 250
Intramuscular injection, once weekly for most users, or split into two shots across the week for steadier levels. Rotate between glutes, quads and delts. If you have not injected before, the injection technique guide walks through it properly.
Frequently asked questions
How long does Sustanon 250 take to work?
The propionate and phenylpropionate esters are active within the first few days, so early changes in strength and fullness come quickly. The decanoate builds more slowly, and blood levels are not properly stable until around week three or four. Judge the cycle from week four, not week one.
How long does Sustanon 250 stay in your system?
A single injection stays active for roughly three weeks, and the decanoate ester can take about a month to clear completely. That matters twice over: post-cycle therapy cannot start until it has cleared, which is why the gap exists, and it remains detectable well after your last shot.
How long should a Sustanon cycle be?
Twelve to sixteen weeks for most people. The decanoate ester needs three or four weeks just to reach stable levels, so anything shorter spends most of its length still building rather than working.
Our own advanced protocols are built around fifteen weeks for that reason. Going much longer does not add proportionally more, and it makes recovery afterwards harder.
What dose should a beginner take?
300 to 500mg per week. There is no advantage in going higher on a first cycle, and starting at the lower end leaves somewhere to go later. The dosage section above covers intermediate, advanced and TRT-level ranges.
What are the side effects of Sustanon 250?
Testosterone converts to estrogen, so water retention, raised blood pressure and gynecomastia are the common ones when estrogen is left unmanaged. It also converts to DHT, which can bring oily skin, acne, faster hair loss if you are predisposed, and prostate enlargement. Cholesterol tends to move the wrong way, LDL up and HDL down. And it suppresses your own production for the duration and beyond.
None of that is a reason to avoid it, but it is a reason to run bloodwork, manage estrogen and plan post-cycle therapy rather than improvising.
