What is 17a-Methyltestosterone 25 (Astera Labs)?
17a-Methyltestosterone is oral testosterone, and it is the crudest compound in this category. There is very little it does that something else here does not do better.
Also sold as methyltestosterone, Android, Metandren or Virilon.
This is testosterone with a 17-alpha-methyl group attached so it survives digestion. That works, but it also means it aromatises into methylestradiol, a considerably more potent estrogen than the estradiol ordinary testosterone converts to. Combined with a heavy liver load, that is what makes this compound harsh in a way its modest strength does not justify.

An aromatase inhibitor is required from day one. Methylestradiol is more potent than ordinary estradiol, so gyno develops faster here than on testosterone.

Who is 17a-Methyltestosterone for?
Realistically, people who specifically want this compound and already know why. It has a small following among strength athletes who use it for the acute effect on aggression before a heavy session.
For almost every other purpose there is a better option in this category. If you want mass, methandienone does more for less liver strain. If you want testosterone, the injectable is cleaner in every respect. This page is not going to pretend otherwise.
How to use 17a-Methyltestosterone
Swallow with water. The half-life is about four hours, so split the daily total into two doses. Those using it acutely before training take it roughly an hour beforehand.

Yes, and this is the part people miss. Methyltestosterone converts to methylestradiol, which is a stronger estrogen than the estradiol ordinary testosterone produces.
So at a much smaller dose you can end up with a bigger estrogen problem. An aromatase inhibitor is part of the plan from the first tablet, not something to add later.
How long can I run it?
Four weeks, and treat that as firm. It is one of the harder orals on the liver relative to what it gives back.
