What is LGD4033 10 (Astera Labs)?

Astera Labs ligandrol in 10mg tablets, 50 to a sachet. The strongest common SARM for size, and the most suppressive.

Also sold as ligandrol, LGD-4033 or anabolicum.

LGD-4033 is the strongest of the widely used SARMs for adding size, and the most suppressive with it. It binds the androgen receptor with high affinity in muscle and bone and produces clear jumps in mass and strength. Unusually for a SARM it also holds some water, which is why gains on it look fuller than on RAD-140.

Who is LGD4033 (Astera) for?

Experienced users bulking or recomposing who will run a proper post-cycle protocol.

LGD4033 10 is the same strength from Deus Medical, and the Biaxol capsules add black pepper extract for absorption.

Before you run it. SARMs suppress your own testosterone and they need post-cycle therapy. The idea that they do not is the most expensive piece of misinformation in this category. They are more selective than steroids, which means fewer androgenic side effects, not an absence of suppression. Plan post-cycle therapy before you start and get bloodwork before and after, including lipids and liver markers, both of which SARMs move. LGD-4033 is the most suppressive SARM in common use. Human trials found measurable testosterone suppression at doses as low as 1mg a day, which is a tenth of what people typically run, so expect a full shutdown and plan accordingly. It also causes some water retention, which is unusual for a SARM and catches people out, and it lowers HDL cholesterol. Check lipids and liver markers before and after. Not for beginners. Not for anyone under 18, and not for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do SARMs really need PCT?

Yes. This is the single most repeated piece of bad advice about them, and it costs people months of feeling flat while they wait for something to recover on its own.

SARMs are selective, not non-suppressive. They act on the androgen receptor and your body responds by shutting down its own production. A SERM such as tamoxifen or clomiphene is what restarts it.

How suppressive is LGD-4033?

More than any other SARM in common use. Clinical work found measurable suppression starting at 1mg a day, which is well below what anyone actually runs.

At 5 to 10mg you should assume you will be shut down by the end of a cycle. Post-cycle therapy is not optional and recovery without it takes months.

Why am I holding water on it?

Because LGD-4033 does cause some water retention, which surprises people since SARMs are generally sold as dry. It is the exception among the common ones.

It settles once the cycle ends. It is not estrogen-driven the way it would be on a steroid, so an aromatase inhibitor does nothing about it.

What dose and how long?

5 to 10mg a day for six to eight weeks. Starting at 5mg is sensible and plenty of people never need more.

Longer runs deepen the suppression without adding much, and recovery gets harder the further you push it.

LGD-4033 or RAD-140?

LGD-4033 for straightforward size, and it will hold a little water with it. RAD-140 for drier gains and more strength relative to mass.

Both suppress properly. LGD is the more suppressive of the two, which is saying something.
