What is Sustanon 500 (Astera Labs)?
Sustanon 500 is the four-ester testosterone blend at double the usual strength, in a 10ml vial. For people running high doses who do not want to inject three millilitres to get there.
Four esters release at different speeds from one injection. Propionate and phenylpropionate work within days, isocaproate covers the middle, and decanoate holds levels through the rest of the week. At 500mg/ml a single millilitre is a full beginner's week.
Sustanon 500 benefits
- 500mg in one millilitre, so a 1000mg week is 2ml rather than 4ml at the standard 250
- Best value per milligram in the Sustanon range
- One injection a week covers the full week, thanks to the four release speeds
- 5000mg per vial, enough for ten weeks at a 500mg protocol
- Suspended in Miglyol 812, thinner than the oils most competitors use
Sustanon 500 dosage
- Beginner
- 300 to 500mg per week, which is 0.6 to 1ml
- Intermediate
- 500 to 750mg per week alone, around 500mg when stacked
- Advanced
- 750 to 1000mg per week, run alone rather than stacked
- Frequency
- Once weekly, or split into two for steadier levels
At this concentration small errors matter more. A tenth of a millilitre is 50mg, so draw carefully and use a syringe you can read accurately rather than eyeballing a large one.
There is no reason to push past the beginner range on a first cycle, and this strength is not where a first cycle should start anyway.

Who is Sustanon 500 for?
Experienced users running higher doses, where the volume of a standard 250 becomes the limiting factor. At 1000mg a week that is 2ml here against 4ml at 250, which is the difference between one comfortable injection and two awkward ones.
It is the wrong choice for a first cycle. Not because it is stronger, it is the same hormone, but because the doses it is designed for are not first-cycle doses, and measuring small amounts accurately at this concentration is harder. SUSTAMED 250 or Sustanon 300 are the sensible starting points.
How to use Sustanon 500
Intramuscular injection, once weekly or split into two. Use a syringe you can read accurately, since a tenth of a millilitre is 50mg here. Wipe the stopper with alcohol before every draw and rotate between glutes, quads and delts. The injection technique guide covers the technique.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sustanon 500 stronger than Sustanon 250?
Not per milligram. It is the identical blend, the same four esters in the same proportions, at double the concentration. 500mg of testosterone is 500mg whichever vial it came from.
What changes is the volume. A 1000mg week is 2ml here against 4ml at 250, which is the entire reason this strength exists.
Does a 500 sting more than a 250?
Often, yes. Holding 500mg of hormone in a single millilitre needs more solvent than holding 250mg does, and it is the solvent content rather than the testosterone that causes most injection-site irritation.
Injecting slowly, into a large muscle, with the vial at room temperature all help. If it is consistently uncomfortable, a lower concentration at more volume is the trade you want.
Which Sustanon strength should I buy?
Match it to your dose. Under 500mg a week, the 250 or 300 keeps the measuring simple. Above 750mg, the 500 saves real volume and works out cheapest per milligram.
Comfort and accuracy should decide it rather than anything else. More oil is harder on the muscle; higher concentration is harder to measure in small amounts.
Why four esters instead of one?
Because they release at different speeds. Propionate is active within days, phenylpropionate over about four, isocaproate covers the middle, and decanoate holds for a fortnight or more.
Stacked together they cover the whole week from one injection, which no single ester does as evenly.
Do I need PCT after Sustanon?
Yes. Exogenous testosterone shuts down your own production for the duration and beyond.
The decanoate fraction is the timing problem: it clears slowly, so post-cycle therapy cannot start until roughly two weeks after the final injection.
